Free Pizza Tuesday!

Attention all Jaycees!!!! 

Free Pizza, Beer (for those of age) and Pop at the North Columbus meeting this Tuesday at 7:30pm,  Jaycee Village!!!! 

Bring your friends as we discuss these up coming projects: 

Soap Box Derby – August 7th and 8th at 8am (See Fyer). Remember if you bring a potential member to the Soap Box Derby, we will pay their dues if they join.

 Chapter Retreat August 13-15.  We will be going over the menu, training and schedule.  Also, if you help at the Derby you can attend the Retreat for FREE!! (See Fyer)

 Columbus Jaycees Children Foundation.  We will be discussing helping with the foundation.

 Pass along the word about the Soap Box Derby and our meeting Tuesday.  We need your help!!!!!!!

Pig Roast

Our Annual Pig Roast for the residents of Jaycee Arms and Village, will be held on Saturday, June 12 at Jaycee Village. We will be setting up and roasting the pig starting Friday evening. Saturday morning will be for preparing side dishes and getting everything ready for the residents. Entertainment will start and the food will be served starting at noon.

Chapter Meeting

At the meeting, we discussed two important projects coming up. The first project is our Annual Pig Roast for the Residents of our buildings. Set up is on Friday, June 11th, with food being served at noon on the 12th.

The second project is the Soap Box Derby. This project is a fund raiser for our chapter. We work the bottom of the hill and pull the cars off the track. They are loaded onto trailers for the return trip back up the hill. The money earned is used to fund our projects during the year. Hope you can make it out and please bring a friend!

Spring Soap Box Derby Rally

The Annual Spring rally was held on Saturday, April 10th and Sunday, April 11th.  The Derby ran races from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm each day.  The weather was perfect and we had a great turn out of cars.  The chapter works the bottom of the hill, pulling the cars off the track and lifting them onto the trailers for the return trip back up the hill.  This is a good fund raiser for the chapter.  Thanks to all the Jaycees who helped out to make this project a success!

Next race will be the Columbus Soap Box Derby.  This is a one day event  and will be held on June 19th.

Easter Egg Hunt

The Easter Egg Hunt was held on Saturday, April 3rd at 12 noon.  The weather was perfect and we had a great turn out of kids.  At noon the kids were released and headed out to search for eggs.  As usual it was over in a matter of minutes.  Thanks to all the Jaycees who helped out to make this project a success!

A special thanks goes out to Cook’s IGA for the donation of candy for the eggs!

Easter Eggs

1,500 eggs were stuffed with candy on Tuesday, March 30 for our Annual Easter Egg Hunt.  Members filled the eggs with a variety of candy.  The candy was donated from our friends at Cook’s IGA, 1225 Oakland Park Ave, Columbus, Ohio 43224. 

The Easter Egg Hunt will be held on Saturday, April 3rd at Creams Park.  The hunt will start at 12 noon.  Hope to see you there.
